In its own ingredient studies, chlorogenic acid from yerba mate measured a 20.4 percent increase in elasticity and a 12.6 percent increase in firmness at 28 days, and it has been studied for its effect on glycation, the process that stiffens collagen with sugar. In its own ingredient studies, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 measured reductions in the look of wrinkle depth and roughness at 30 days, up to 30 percent less measured wrinkle depth. Chlorophyll has been studied on its own for calming the look of stressed skin and refining the appearance of pores. The green tint works by color theory, not by acting on the skin.
