There’s something about this upcoming summer season that just feels different—and it may have a lot to do with gratitude.
After years in lockdown, most of us have a new appreciation for get-togethers, time spent with loved ones, and the freedom to travel—whether to a local or international destination. With this new mindset, beauty brand founders are ready to hit pause on the day-to-day hustle of entrepreneurship, and instead enjoy a little bit of the sweetness that comes with slowing down and savoring the moment.
So whether they’re headed to Rhode Island, or an island in the Caribbean, we wanted to know all about these four founder’s dream destinations for summer—and of course, the beauty products they’re bringing along with them.

Where I'm going
My fiancé and I are pretty set on a destination wedding, so we are heading to Mexico City to scope out some potential wedding venues!
Why I love it
CDMX has special significance to us because as individuals we each adore the city, but it's also the first destination we visited together as a couple. The city is truly unique and is brimming with greenery, incredible architecture, an explosion of cultural influences and a vibrant food and nightlife scene. We can't wait to be back with an eye towards a larger celebration—but also while enjoying plenty of sunshine, art at our favorite museums, good food, and better tequila.
The beauty products I'm packing
I keep it extra light when I travel to someplace with backdrops as gorgeous as CDMX; not much is needed for you to feel beautiful (or take a beautiful picture!) when you're there. So I’ll be keeping things pretty light.
First up, I’ll be bringing Muri Lelu's Bloomrise Sativa Serum. Our hydrating daytime serum is magic in my routine and a true multi-corrective. The combination of CBD and aloe in the formula make it ultra-hydrating and soothing—in warmer climates I find that it's enough to keep me dewy all day long. It also minimizes any imperfections like hyperpigmentation or dry skin, so I start and end the day with a flawless canvas.
Next is the Soleil TouJours Mineral Ally Daily Defense SPF 30. Not much to say except reapply, reapply, reapply! Especially in warmer climates when you're out exploring and enjoying all day! I love how this glides on and feels on the skin. Then last, but certainly not least, Madame Gabriela’s Mexico City at 9pm is a must-have. I love to always finish my look with a strong lip! I adore the brand's lipsticks because they are rich, long-lasting, and keep my lips feeling pillowy soft throughout the day—thanks to star ingredient manuka honey. This coral shade leaves a strong impression without being too overwhelming.

Where I'm Going
I’m looking forward to being based out of our Newport, RI home for most of the summer. On the flip side, I’ll also be spending a few days in Las Vegas for my very much belated bachelorette party. My husband and I were married during COVID so we kind of missed out, but my trip to Las Vegas will be filled with close friends, spa treatments, and some exciting dinners out. Then there’s Mallorca in August.
Why I love it
When it comes to Rhode Island, I love being so close to the water, it helps to keep me grounded and gives me an overall sense of calmness. Vegas, I visited a long time ago, so this time I’m very much looking forward to enjoying not only the nightlife (a bit of The Thunder From Down Under perhaps?!) but taking in some down time at a spa. Vegas is like an old friend that’s up for anything. And Mallorca is a dream. I love the Mediterranean and I can’t wait to get back—it’s a beautiful island with amazing coastlines filled with Spanish influences. I’m looking forward to returning with my family.

I’ll definitely be taking my Nolé Shampoo and Conditioner Bars. I will be packing the Coconut for Frizz bar (my go-to for summer hair) for myself and our Fragrance-Free Radiance bars for my children. Oh, and sunscreen! Right now I’m loving the Humanrace Ozone Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30. It feels light and non-greasy on my skin. And I can’t go anywhere without lip protection, especially in the summer! I recently tried the Lip R&R from Emilie Heathe and it’s become a staple in my daily routine.

Where I'm Going
In June I am heading to Ireland for a wedding in a small village 25 miles north of Dublin, then to a birthday celebration in the French countryside in Normandy. In July, I will be headed to Jamaica just ahead of our Independence Day celebrations. I am going to be splitting my time between Strawberry Hill in the hills of St. Andrew/Kingston for a city experience, and Half Moon Resort & Spa for some beach time.
Why I love it
I’ve never been to Ireland or the Normandy region in France, so I’m really excited for some new experiences. When it comes to Jamaica, it’s where I’m from. I typically try to visit a few times a year, and when I’m there, it centers me, rejuvenates me, and feeds my spirit. It’s my happy place. I eat from the moment I land, to the moment I leave.
The beauty products I'm packing
Of course my SuperFruit Brightening Cleanser. It’s such an easy, refreshing cleanser and helps keep my pores clear while on vacation. The Signature Moisturizer is also a must. It’s my desert island product. It gives your skin a beautiful glow and leaves you nourished. Then lastly, the Calming Hydration Booster. I always apply a layer of this before a flight for extra hydration and protection. Oh, and of course, sunscreen—you can’t travel without it. I’m currently loving Relevant: You Skin Seen One and Done Everyday Cream with SPF 40.

Where I'm Going
I’ll be headed to Montauk, NY this summer.
Why I love it
I grew up going to Montauk in the ‘80s—it was quite different then! But I still love the beaches, the vibe, and the old friends there. Now my kids love it too, they ask to go back every summer.
The beauty products I'm packing
I always bring my fragrances with me. I’m planning to wear the 11 11 Eau de Parfum for daytime, because it is a dreamy, skin scent perfect for beach trips. I plan to layer on the alluring Midnight 07 on top for evening if I’m headed out, and the cozy Santal Gray for nights in.
I love Ami Cole’s lip treatments, especially Reflection with its clear finish, and also always use the Common Heir Vitamin C for glowing skin. I’ll be taking both with me on this trip, and all future travels.
